Celebrating "Silver Smoke," a Debut Novel, by Author Monica Leonelle!

HIII!!!

You haven't heard from me in a longgg, long time. But nevermind all that, now, because I'm back, and I'm starting things off again with a bang! I thought we'd celebrating the end of this stagnant blogging year with a CONTEST!!

No, it's not my contest, but I'm entering it and giving all you the chance to enter as well! Monica Leonelle is the author of several young adult novels, and her latest is this one:

Monica is celebrating the release of Silver Smoke, the debut novel in her Seven Halos series, by giving away three of Amazon's amazing e-readers,including the latest one, the Kindle Fire! Once you have one of these great readers, you can download this book, and here's why you should:

The "Blurp"

"Brie van Rossum has fame, fortune, and beauty, but there’s one thing she doesn’t have–the name of her mother’s supernatural killer.

The Hallows, descendants of the archangels, don’t think Milena was murdered.. but can Brie trust them when their government, the New Order, wants her dead?

She’d better figure it all out soon…
… because when Brie finds out who she really is, the hunt will begin.

And Milena might not be the only casualty.

Like mother, like daughter…"

Rykken's phone beeped, but he was distracted—a shadow ahead gave him pause. The slender figure dressed in all black had the body of a teenage girl who hadn’t quite grown into her curves. The hood pulled over her eyes was a warning.

He stopped walking, panicked. His phone beeped again, and he hastily shoved his hand in his pocket to shut it off. He summoned his energy and prepared to transport.
The woman didn’t remove her hood, but there was enough light to see the corner of her lips as she smirked.

Rykken didn’t hesitate; he transported as fast as he could back to Pilot’s car, keeping the river a blur to his left. A few seconds later, his pace slowed, until he was merely running a few ticks faster than a normal human would. He stopped, keeling over, trying to catch his breath.

He heard a clapping sound and knew the hooded figure was watching him. When he looked up, a woman with shiny, long hair the color of spun silver stood in front of him, her hands on her hips. He didn’t have to ask her name...

The Author

Monica Leonelle started reading young adult books when she was seven and never managed to grow out of them. Now, she writes them from a lovely Chicago apartment she shares with an adorable little Westie named Mia.

There are lots of other things Monica hasn't grown out of, like the Disney channel, Forever 21, and dressing up on Halloween. She believes in approaching life with a childlike wonder. She loves to hear from readers, so email her at monicaleonelle@gmail.com to talk about her books, or to just say hi.

This book is really unlike any YA novel you've read before, as I'm sure you've surmised. Leonelle has written a book that convincingly juxtaposes two worlds, the corporeal and the supernatural, in this suspenseful and entertaining beginning to her exciting series!
